A Bit of Christmas Yarns

I am finally home after two weeks in New York for Christmas. I had a lovely visit with family and returned home with quite a few goodies. Here’s a glimpse at my yarn basket and current acquisitions—plus a finished object. Enjoy!

My pre-Christmas yarn basket. Most of these were purchased on my honeymoon. The sweet little sweater in the front is from Petiteknit’s seaside set. It is knit in Laines du Nord yarn from Lellabella in Venice, Italy. The bear buttons are from Portugal.

Presenting, the Christmas yarns!

This silk mohair is going to make the perfect cumulus blouse! I am going to hold the two colors double to hit gauge (hopefully)! If you look closely, you will see a bit of sparkle in the yarn!

I tried to get a cool yarn tower photo. We will have to settle for this very wobbly 8 story tower or the more stable 6 story tower.

My mother-in-law gifted me these beautiful yarns from Drops. Taking suggestions for project ideas! For baby or soon to be momma!

I am looking forward to my first lace project this year—a 2024 goal. I received the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible for Christmas. I am planning to knit a big, beautiful shawl. Lots of planning to do first!

My first finished object of 2024!
